Description
As an Administrative Assistant, you will perform clerical functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, and providing information to callers. You will report to the Program Coordinator and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
- Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems, and use computers for spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and other applications.
- Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
- Maintain program shared electronic calendars (daily)
- Process staff requests for assistance with copying, correspondence, and mailings
- Maintain work relationships with Agency colleagues and engage in constructive communication both within and outside the Agency.
- Have a working knowledge of the program operations and functions.
- Follow Agency policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality in all administrative matters.
- Other duties as assigned.

Administrative Assistant - History and Political Science
Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, Regular full-time. This is a 52-week position working 37 hours a week during the Academic Year and 20 hours a week during the summer.
Work Location: This position is an on-site role and is not eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
Supervisor: Assistant Vice President of Academic Planning and Operations with dotted line to department chairs.
Position Purpose: Provides clerical, administrative and project support to the departments of history and political science. Serves as the liaison between the departments, internal and external guests. Greets and assists guests who enter the departmental offices. Contributes to two teams of faculty department administrators.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Office Support: Provides support for department associated activities, to include managing the schedule/calendar, screening and handling telephone communications, routine, filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, ordering and organizing necessary office supplies, greeting and directing visitors, managing and creating content for department websites. Serves as a primary point of direct administrative contact and liaison with other offices, individuals, and external institutions and agencies on a range of issues. Supervises, trains and hires student employees.
- Administration: Organizes, processes and analyzes department data including but not limited to calculating grade point averages for senior honor students and honor society inductees, assisting in the planning and tracking of activities related to the departments' respective study away programs, completing forms for the registrar (e.g. course schedules, final exams, etc.), assisting and facilitating in building and maintaining an alumni network and supporting fundraising activities. Assists administrative colleagues with other College assignments as needed and offers to assist during crunch times and overlapping deliverables.
- Event & Travel Coordination: Manages all department events, dinners, seminars, conferences under the general supervision of the Department Chairs (i.e. maintains an event budget, makes campus contacts with dining services, instructional technology or any other campus contact necessary for the event, makes hotel and travel arrangements for speakers, creates and posts seminar flyers, etc.). Assists with securing housing, dining locations and, venues for class and speakers, receipt processing, and other related activities
- Search Coordination: Provides full support in hiring faculty. Tasks include, but are not limited to: maintaining and organizing records of all job applications received, scheduling on-campus visits (including hotel, transportation, and dining services reservations), helping with scheduling job seminars, student meetings with the visiting faculty, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent and three to five years of administrative experience, preferably in an academic setting, or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and work experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment carrying out administrative duties.
- Extensive computer skills, such as working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel, Google Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google docs).
- Ability to use and learn new software quickly
- Familiarity with web content management systems.
- Ability to work onsite in an office setting including ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
- The ability to foster and enhance a thriving, diverse, inclusive, and culturally vibrant community, while promoting a sense of belonging among students, faculty and staff colleagues, and alumni.

Compensation
The rate for this position is $17.50 - $18.50 per hour. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Job Summary | The Administrative Specialist independently performs a variety of advanced administrative tasks, in person, for the Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies (CBIS). The Specialist works closely alongside the Administrative Coordinator to perform a variety of clerical tasks to ensure the efficiency of the department's processes. Job Summary | The Assistant Coach for Women's Ice Hockey assists the Head Coach in the management and administration of a Division I Hockey program. Job Summary | The Assistant Director (AD) of Student Activities is responsible for planning, facilitating and assisting in the coordination of student club programs on campus. The incumbent will develop programs working with clubs and other campus departments focusing on diversity and inclusion, community involvement/engagement, student leadership and operations as an advocate for student clubs. The AD will work with the staff to develop opportunities for servant leadership growth and development. Job Summary | The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks applications for a tenure-track (or tenured) faculty position at the Associate Professor level in Business Analytics/Supply Chain Management starting Fall 2024. Candidates must have a PhD degree from an accredited university in Analytics, Operations Research, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field, along with demonstrated evidence to produce original and innovative scholarly work with publications in premier business journals. The successful candidate will join the School either as a tenure-track assistant professor, or as an associate professor, based on teaching and research experience and success. Associate Director for Greek Leadership
Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular full time
Supervisor: Director of Residential Education
Position Purpose: Oversees and directs the operations, vision, and programs for Greek life at Union College by facilitating an environment where members of the Greek community can be challenged and supported in their personal growth, efforts, and experiences. Serves as a trusted advisor to students. Shares responsibility with other Associate Directors for residential student staff processes (such as room selection, recruitment, selection, hiring, training, and ongoing development). Carries out the mission of Union College and the Division of Student Affairs.
This position primarily operates on site and requires in-person presence. Additionally, the role offers the opportunity for optional on-campus housing.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greek Community Development & Engagement: Creates a vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive environment for Greek organizations. Manages and supervises the activities of and provides guidance to various National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities, North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) fraternities, National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO) organizations as well as local/unaffiliated organizations. Coordinates recruitment/intake and the annual review processes for all student Greek letter organizations. Designs and implements leadership development programs for the Greek community, including programming in the areas of risk management, membership recruitment/intake and education; problem resolution, and community planning.
- Supervision: Supervises the Community Director for Greek Houses. Indirectly supervises Greek house managers and part-time party monitors. Guides and supports the community director and student staff community development efforts, including the implementation of curricular engagement guides and corresponding assessments.
- Student Health and Safety: Monitors and intervenes with students who may be struggling academically and/or with other behavioral and developmental issues. Refers accordingly to services as needed. Participates in regular professional staff on-call rotation, providing crisis intervention and serving as a resource or referral agent. Understands and enforces Code of Student Conduct and other policies regarding behavior, safety, security, health, and other matters in cooperation with the appropriate offices. Serves as a campus judicial hearing officer. Participates in CARE team meetings and provides culturally responsive support to students.
- Collaboration: Builds relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to advance the Greek Life program and support its mission. Works in collaboration with designated staff in College Relations to interface with fraternity and sorority alumni. Serves as the liaison to national organizations, chapter advisors, and other College departments.
- Administration: Holds regular office hours to address student and staff needs. Manages the budget for the Greek Life department, allocating resources to support programming, events, and operational expenses. Attends campus community events. Serves on college committees as assigned. Assists with administrative office duties. Offers to pitch in to help colleagues during crunch times and overlapping deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration or related field and 3-5 years of student affairs experience or equivalent, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. Knowledge of residential liberal arts college administration is desirable Knowledge of residential liberal arts college administration is desirable.
- Knowledge of National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities, North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) fraternities, National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO) organizations. Membership in an international/national fraternity or sorority is preferred.
- Demonstrated success with the development of educational programming related to risk management, hazing, student conduct, alcohol education, sexual assault prevention, and diversity/equity/inclusion/belonging.

Compensation
The annual salary range this position is $60,000.00 - $62,000.00. Job Summary | The Clinical Case Manager is part of the multidisciplinary, integrated Rensselaer Student Health team of committed professionals dedicated to supporting and promoting student health and wellbeing as an Institute-wide priority. Description
As a Clinician, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary team with the underserved populations in our community by providing clinical counseling to individuals, families and couples in an outpatient mental health clinic licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH). You will report to the Director of the Behavioral Health Center. Sessions may be conducted in the office or via Tele-mental Health as clinically indicated.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of clients aged birth to 65, providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and individual and family therapy services to those assigned to caseload.
- Create initial treatment plans, subsequent treatment plan reviews, progress notes for each scheduled appointment, and other documentation/assessments as indicated.
- Collaborate with on-site prescriber, other medical and mental health providers, schools and any other community supports for client care.
- Attend Behavioral Health Center staff meeting twice a month.
- Attend and participate in Supervision; weekly, bi-weekly or monthly based on licensure level or individual needs.
- Provide referrals and linkages to community supports, resources, and services.
Requirements and Education:
- Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counselor.
- Experience in human services, case management, line staff at a residential program, or any other related direct care within human services, both pre and post master degree, will be considered.
- License and/or Limited Permit eligible, have a limited permit in discipline or Fully Licensed (LMHC/LCSW/LCSW-R), preferred.
- Good standing with the NYS Office of the Professions.

Clinician, Prevention
Licensed Social Workers are eligible for a $7500 signing bonus!
As a Clinician, you will provide comprehensive clinical, case planning and family support services to county residents. We are dedicated to helping parents, caregivers and children succeed by drawing on their natural strengths while addressing the risks that impact safety, permanency and well-being. Services are provided in the home, school and community. You will report to the Clinical Coordinator and will work onsite with travel in the community required. There are opportunities for some virtual work, as well.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a caseload of ten families and meet with each family weekly.
- Rapidly engage and sustain engagement of families throughout course of treatment.
- Assess individuals and families including use of assessment tools, as appropriate to the position.
- Identify and discuss the strengths, risk factors and service needs which impact the health and safety of your client and family.
- Develop with the family and other service providers, mutually agreed upon treatment goals, and the methods to achieve the goals.
- Schedule and facilitate Family Team Meetings and other Service Plan Reviews to assess progress and identify any needed modifications to treatment planning.
- Provide therapeutic services to children and families using differential treatment modalities.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues, DSS case managers, court officials, collaterals and community providers.
- Provide advocacy, case management, and referral services, as indicated.
- Maintain case record and complete all paperwork: status sheets, progress notes, assessments, service plans, and correspondence, discharge summaries, etc. in accordance with program contract, agency policy, COA and state mandates
Requirements and Education:
- Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling or equivalent from a graduate school program.
- Experience in the mental health, child-welfare or juvenile justice systems preferred.
- A valid NYS driver's license
